Sivel can see my screen. Is that safe?
Yes — Sivel runs locally on your own computer, and it only looks at your screen at the moment you ask it something. You hold the blob, ask your question, and it sends that one screenshot along with your question to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate the answer. That single request is the only thing that ever leaves your machine.
Your screenshots and your audio are never sent to us and never stored on our servers — we can’t see them, and we don’t use them to train anything. Nothing is recorded in the background, and nothing is kept once you have your answer.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. Download it, open it, and start asking — the free plan includes 20 questions a month with no account and no card. You only sign in if you decide to upgrade.
Which computers does it work on?
Sivel is a desktop app for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows. There’s no phone version — it works by seeing the screen you’re actually studying on.
Can I turn off the screen and desktop audio access?
Yes — both are toggles. You can switch off desktop audio transcription and screen capture whenever you want and keep using the rest of the app.
Sivel is also just a normal desktop app: quit it and it does nothing at all. Plenty of people keep it closed and only open it when they’re studying.
